Meet Stacey Evans

"I am honored and privileged to serve as the executive director and president of SHSKI. My life's passion has been to improve the lives of impoverished children. While I enjoy my job as an attorney, I feel a strong calling to help impoverished children in Brazil. The opportunity to serve these children came when I contacted Bob Crites, founder of SHSKI. I was and I continue to be extremely impressed with SHSKI's work.

I just returned from Brazil, where I met Alan, Beatriz, Fabio, Iago, Leidane, and Vinícius at Projecto Uerê in Rio and Elizabete and Rafael at Solar de Menino de Luz. I met Yanka, Priscilla, Joel, Gilson, and Crislayne in Recife. I saw how crucial sponsorship is in giving them an education, hope, dreams, and a chance to free themselves from poverty."

SHSKI is the subsidiary of Maryland Partners of the Americas, Inc. Maryland Partners of the Americas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1964 that is a people-to-people volunteer organization that seeks to promote cooperation and understanding between Maryland and Rio de Janeiro through cultural, education, technical and scientific exchanges and through the sharing of knowledge and experience. Maryland Partners of the Americas, Inc. is partnered with Rio Partners of the Amerias.
