Irish Charity Sky Jump For SHSKI

After finding our Web site on the Internet, two university students from Celbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland, Maria O'Brien and her friend, Rachel Mathers, contacted us about organizing a charity sky jump to support our work with street kids. We were understandably agreeable to this idea.

We sent SHSKI literature and a videotape and the two enterprising university students set up a table at their university and began collecting pledges. By May 6, 2000, the date of their jump, they had received enough donations to pay for their jump and to send US$500 to Students Helping Street Kids International.

Of course, we are hoping that their tandem parachute jump for street kids will inspire other philanthropic adventurists to contact us about organizing a similar event in benefit of SHSKI. It's a great way to pay for your hobby and raise funds for street kids at the same time!
